Location
For the Kortenhoef marina we’ve designed four sustainable, energy neutral waterfront homes, to be part of the “Haven Lake Village” concept. These four residential homes are set to be built on the peninsula near the marina. The peninsula is set up to be used as a natural boat docking area and will also feature lush grass lawns and other greenery.

By rotating the living space and placing the homes further apart, we were able to optimize the sunlight and enhanced the views. Careful usage of natural light, angle of the sun and functional use of space will allow for lower energy usage. The overhanging roof is not only a integral part of the architecture but will also contribute in the summer days to keep the inside temperature down. In winter, when the sun isn’t as high in the sky, the overhang will allow to sun to heat the home naturally.
