In the role of architectural consultant, we are active for design and real estate issues at home and abroad.

We are specialized in conversions of building into apartments and hotels & resorts.

Our office does also offer personal consulting for private investors and professional real estate developers. Our current clients include both Dutch investors who are looking to investing in the Netherlands and/or abroad and foreign investors who are looking to invest in the Netherlands. We successfully contributed to projects in the Netherlands as well as other countries such as Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain (Ibiza island) and the Caribbean (islands of Aruba and Curaçao).

Our clients appreciate an independent opinion when dealing with extended real estate developments and as third party with a lot of experience we are able to provide this on request.

Apartment complex London Southend, England 
Design consult for new development

Project
Located in downtown Southend-on-Sea, the seaside resort outside of London, our project is a spacious plot with a single-story building which functions as a restaurant. According to the zoning plan it is possible to build a new building of 20 meters high. In the new volume the catering function will be maintained on the ground floor and the upper floors will be used for 12 apartments.

According to regulation there had to be a mix of different sized apartments. We have designed and mixed three different prototypes in the building to achieve the desired diversity. However, this is not visible on the outside of the building. Municipality dictated that a monumental tree in front of the building had to be maintained. Therefore we made the old tree part of the architecture; by building around it the tree is even more emphasized. For this project we defined the vision, the concept development of the real estate and made the design for the new building.

Hotel Mauritskade Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Change of function and development

Project
The building is located on the Mauritskade, on the edge of the Oosterpark in Amsterdam and used to be the cities Dissecting Laboratory. The project involves a major renovation of the building with a transformation into a luxury 4+ star hotel with 120 hotel rooms. There will also be an extension at the park side of the building which includes an underground parking. The surrounding terrain has been redesigned and will become part of the renewed Oosterpark.

We have been involved in this project from the initial stage. We have designed the total transformation and arranged all necessary permits for the designation and change of function. In addition, we were the first point of contact for all stakeholders during the process and had a strategic advisory role between real estate owner, municipality and other stakeholders. After the permits were granted, the building has changed ownership. We have also played an active advising role during the sale of the property.

Hotel Sauvage Meiringen, Switzerland
Renovatioin and logistics

Project
At the end of the 19th century, this luxurious 4-star hotel was built in Meiringen Switzerland Meiringen is the main village of the areas Oberhasli and Haslital in the Bernese Alps in Switzerland and has about 5,000 inhabitants. The village is located at an altitude of 600 meters and has good connections to the higher skiing and hiking areas. Meiringen has been a popular international holiday resort since the 19th century.

As the lead architect, we have developed a plan for the renovation of 35 hotel rooms and the exterior of the building. A feasibility study has also been made for the realization of an expansion of 13 hotel apartments. In addition, we contributed to the logistical execution of the construction work, the selection of third party building partners and we acted as intermediary in the permit process.

Apartments and stores Laat Alkmaar, the Netherlands 
Rezoning and development 

Project
This 19th century building is located in the historic centre of Alkmaar. It involves two buildings located on the main street called Laat. The original building was developed as shopping centre. We changed the zoning plan so that the building can be converted to partly stores and seven luxury apartments.

For this project we have the designed the entire redevelopment and arranged all the necessary permits for the renovation and change of function. We also designed the interior of the apartments. In addition to the role of architect, we were also involved as an advisor for the whole development.

Apartments and offices Huizen, the Netherlands 
Rezoning and development 

Project
Between the old city centre and the harbour in the of city of Huizen is a small industrial area. This old large office building was part of the industrial company of Philips. Since Philips left this area, the building is separeted in smaller offices. The project is a transformation of the office building into 112 apartments.

For this project we have the designed the entire redevelopment. We have made concepts for four differents sizes of apartments. On the ground floor will me a mixed use of offices.  In addition to the role of architect, we are also involved as an advisor for the whole development.

Boutique Hotel Damrak Amsterdam, the Netherlands 
Rezoning and development 

Project
This cluster of four buildings is located in the center of Amsterdam. It involves two buildings located on the Damrak and two buildings located on the Nieuwendijk. The buildings are connected to each other from the inside. The project involves a major renovation of all four buildings and the reallocation to catering and short stay hotel apartments. The project is part of the ‘Red Carpet’ municipal initiative.

For this project we have the designed the entire development and arranged all the necessary permits for the renovation and change of function. In addition to the role of architect, we were also involved as an advisor in contact with the “Red Carpet” project group of the municipality of Amsterdam. In addition we advised on the destination of the buildings and development of the concept.

Apartments Keizersgracht Amsterdam, the Netherlands 
Renovation and development 

Project
On a beautiful location on Keizersgracht Amsterdam are two canal buildings called ‘brother-and-sister’. The two buildings are internally connected. There will be a large renovation which contains a complete new foundation and realization of 9 luxury apartments.

For this project we have designed the entire development and arranged all the necessary permits for the renovation and change of function. In addition to the role of architect, we were also involved as a real estate and development advisor.

Apartments Oudezijds Voorburgwal Amsterdam, the Netherlands 
Rezoning and development 

Project
On a beautiful location in the historic city centre of Amsterdam ais this large canal house originally design by the famous Dutch architect Hamer. We rezoned the bulding from office into apartments. There was a large renovation which contains a complete new froof and extension and realization of 5 luxury apartments.

For this project we have designed the entire development and arranged all the necessary permits for the renovation and change of function. In addition to the role of architect, we also did the building management and were also part of the development.

Apartments Plantage Middenlaan Amsterdam, the Netherlands 
Rezoning and development 

Project
Gelegen aan de Plantage Middenlaan te Amsterdam ligt dit bijzondere en ruime herenhuis met grote tuin. De Plantage Middenlaan is een straat in de Plantagebuurt in Amsterdam-Centrum. Het is de hoofdstraat van de Plantagebuurt en dateert uit de grote stadsuitbreiding van 1658. Het pand heeft een zogenaamde Orde 2 status. Bijzonder was het feit dat het gebouw nog als één woonhuis gebruikt werd.

Voor dit project hebben wij als architect het ontwerp om drie high end appartementen te maken en alle benodigde vergunningen gerealiseerd. De appartementen hebben een zeer hoogwaardige afwerking, is er een nieuw inpandig trappenhuis gerealiseerd en lift. Er is funderingsherstel uitgevoerd, nieuwe balkons aan de achterzijde toegevoegd en er is een heel tuinontwerp gemaakt met moderne tuinhuis.

Renovation Hotel Doria Amsterdam, Nederland
Renovation and building addition

Project
In de Damstraat, hartje centrum van Amsterdam, staat een prachtig pand ontworpen eind negentiende eeuw door de bekende architect I.G. Bijvoets. Bijvoets ontwierp onder meer diverse gebouwen in Amsterdam waarvan enkele ook gewaardeerd zijn als Rijksmonument. Het pand was origineel bedoeld als warenhuis, maar in de jaren ’70 is het pand lange tijd gebruikt als Mensa van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Rond 1980 is het pand verbouwd tot hotel. Sinds die tijd is er nagenoeg geen verbouwing geweest.

Het hotel is gedateerd en wij hebben een nieuw ontwerp gemaakt om alle verdiepingen efficiënter te maken, enkele kamers bij te bouwen en het verzorgen van het totale interieurontwerp. Het hotel heeft totaal 44 kamers. Daarnaast zal het pand een nieuwe fundering krijgen en op de begane grond een nieuw restaurant. Het interieurontwerp verzorgen wij ook.
